BRINGING THE BEST OF THE SOUTH
Where OLD SOUTH MEETS new
As a fourth‑generation Southern cook, recipe developer, and professional writer, creating a site dedicated to the love of the South seemed a natural extension of what I was already doing.
What began as a love for family recipes and home cooking on my food blog, Southern Food and Fun, has evolved into this space to celebrate the people, places, and stories behind the dishes we all share.

From REGIONAL NEWS TO SOUTHERN FOOD
THE POTLUCK Journey
I created Southern Potluck because I’ve always believed the best stories start around the table. I’ve long had a soft spot for mom-and-pop restaurants, handwritten recipes tucked in church cookbooks, and small-town news that rarely makes the big headlines.
Southern Potluck is where all of that comes together.
Here you’ll find local and regional news from across the South, especially the kind that connects to food, whether it’s a new restaurant in a small town, a community event built around barbecue, or a piece of food history that’s worth remembering.
I share what I’m learning along the way, from kitchen tips to regional traditions, and always with respect for the folks who’ve kept these stories alive.
